Carapelli
Limited was founded in April of 1983 in Taiwan
as a general merchandise export company. By 1987
Carapelli's export turnover had grown quite rapidly
and the company's operations required the purchase
of a large office in the heart of Taiwan's
capital.
By 1986 Carapelli was
exporting various computer parts to Canada and
India including computer casings, power supplies,
motherboards & additional addon peripherals. By
1991 the company had started exporting notebooks
from every OEM manufacturer under the
Impulse brand moniker to Canada
In 1987 Carapelli expanded
its operations to Hong Kong (Espee Limited.)
and Bangkok (Ashirwad International) in a move
to expand the company's market share in general merchandise
and computers. By 1997 the group's turnover had
exceeded USD 50 Million and was still
growing.
In 1994 Carapelli further expanded its operations
to the lucrative market of the United Arab Emirates
by opening two import facilities: 1. Carapelli Trading
L.L.C. dealing in general merchandise and 2. Carapelli Computers, dealing in IT products. Carapelli
Computers was started at very prominent location on
Khalid Bin Walid Street with both a retail and wholesale
strategy. Amongst Carapelli Computers' top local suppliers

Added to this list, HP
has appointed Carapelli as Business Partners along with
Microsoft'st appointment of Carapelli as Retail Partners.
Apart from carrying every tier 1 brand notebook Carapelli
has it own PC assembly division with PCs assembled under
the Impulse brand name.
One of Carapelli's major
strengths is our vast selection of notebook and PC accessories import
and exported through our Taiwan Headquarters. We
are the exclusive agents for a multitude of manufacturers.
In the year 2001, Carapelli
once again expanded its operations by establishing a
large retail and wholesale presence in the
U.A.E.'s premier computer mall, Computer Plaza (Al-Ain
Center). Added to this, in the year 2002 Carapelli created
two more branch locations at the Jebel Ali
Freezone port and in Abu Dhabi. The former
being for exports to the whole of the Middle East and
the latter was established in order to gain a larger
retail and wholesale presence within the U.A.E.'s capital.
